The Expert is Peugeots entry into the mid level
van market with it's MPV style van. A popular choice for being converted for
wheelchair access, scooter access or similar disability reasons. The Peugeot Expert comes in common engine options of both 1.6 and 2.0 litre variants. The 2.0 litre engine often comes with a 6 speed gearbox and is known as the Peugeot Expert Tepee or Peugeot Expert Independence. Depending on the company that carried out the adaptation you may also see them listed as an Adapted Peugeot Expert or Disabled/Disability Peugeot Expert.

The latest Peugeot Experts are very feature rich and often come with occupant seating arrangements of between 3 to 6 occupants. This is coupled with common additions of parking sensors, privacy glass and electric winches. The expert comes into it's own with the larger load spacing than most making it suitable for larger scooters and off-road tramper vehicles. A typical ramp width of 29 inches to 31 inches and a head height of up to 61 inches is common. Loaded platform length is 78 inches allowing plenty of storage space if required. Finally, the Peugeot Expert also offers side loading doors for easy access including being able to drive a scooter in via the rear and the occupant departing from the side door.
