The Vivaro is the trademark van from Vauxhall and is commonly converted to a
wheelchair accessible van or bus. The Vauxhall Vivaro vehicles are usually supplied with a 115ps 2.0 litre Diesel engine and are available in either 6 speed manual or automatic gearbox derivatives. Typically the Vauxhall Vivaro has a load out of between 3 and 6 occupants as well as the wheelchair/scooter user.
Many of the major
conversion companies such as Automotive, Allied, GM and Constables & Gleneagles all offer conversion options which we see regularly from our ex
Motability sources.
The Vauxhall Vivaro comes with all the standard features including power windows, parking sensors, privacy glass etc. The big advantage with a Vauxhall Vivaro is the ability to have a much larger rear holding space and greater headroom allowing even the biggest of
off-road scooters (trampers) to fit in the back. A typical rear platform length for a Vauxhall Vivaro rear ramp is 94 inches, a head height of 60 inches and typical ramp widths going up to 34 inches depending on the conversion company. Due to the size of the vehicle a wheelchair or scooter user can access the van from behind and then disembark via the side door on the van.
